“Your workouts need to be 60-90 minutes long in order for them to be effective.”
“If you don’t track your food, you’ll never see progress.”
“Lifting the heaviest weights possible in every single workout is the only way you’ll lose weight or build muscle.”
“If you don’t drink a protein shake within 30 minutes of your workout, your workout is useless.”
I feel like there’s a new rule being shoved down our throats every single day on how to lose weight, gain muscle, or maintain our current body. Even more frustrating is the fact that these “rules” tend to make your life revolve around fitness, rather than having fitness revolving around your life.
So I’m going to let you in on a little secret: they’re all a load of crap.
I’m one of the co-founders of Bicah Body, and I’m a certified personal trainer who is fed up with the fitness industry. I’ve never followed any of these strange health and fitness rules, and I’ve been able to maintain and improve both my physical and mental health for the past 5 years.
That’s right – I don’t track my food, I don’t spend hours in the gym every single day, and I don’t lift insanely heavy every single workout.
Why?
Because it’s not necessary, and quite frankly, it makes health and fitness feel more like a chore and less like a lifestyle.
My main goal with Bicah Body is to help women live a more balanced life when it comes to food and fitness.
When I say balanced, I don’t mean that I’m going to tell you how to incorporate a “cheat meal” into your diet each week or how to “squeeze in” a 90 minute workout every day. What I’ll actually be doing is helping you build a sustainable healthy lifestyle, while saying goodbye to restrictive habits.
Eating healthy and working out can and should be enjoyable, and I’m here to show you how to make that possible. With Bicah Body, you’ll have access to home and gym workouts that you actually look forward to doing, and delicious recipes that you’ll be wanting to make over and over again. You’ll also get access to a member-exclusive blog where I share all things health, fitness, and life; including how I grew my social media, how to adjust your intuitive eating for weight loss, and so much more. Plus, you’ll be able to join our online community where you can meet and interact with the rest of our Bicah babes, so that you have a support system unlike any other.
For the gym workouts, you’ll need basic gym equipment and a glute band. A barbell pad and ankle straps are highly recommended!
For the home workouts, you’ll need a pair of dumbbells, a glute band, a long band, and a door anchor.
If you need any of the listed equipment, check out our other business Bicah by Chloe! We’ve got everything you would need and more.
